The search is open to candidates with a Ph.D. or equivalent degree who have scholarly interests in the way people, organizations, and societies interact with information, technology, and data. The position will support the curriculum for the Science, Technology, and International Affairs (STIA) major. The successful applicant will be an enthusiastic scientist who is able to communicate complex scientific concepts clearly to students with varying science backgrounds. The incumbent will develop courses and course sequences that introduce the foundational concepts of environmental sciences (including the dynamics and impacts of climate change, fundamentals of environmental systems, and key methods for environmental sciences), while also creating curricular opportunities for in-depth engagement with one or more of the above areas of research.

Georgetown University in Qatar (GU-Q) invites applications for one (1) open-rank core faculty position in Philosophy. The successful candidate will hold a Ph.D. in philosophy, or a closely related field, and will have a research focus in one or more of the following areas: non-Western philosophy (especially Islamic and Arabic philosophy, African/Africana philosophy, Asian philosophy), Continental philosophy, philosophy of science (broadly construed), philosophy of social science, or applied ethics. They will contribute to the foundational and upper-level offerings of the Culture and Politics (CULP) major and to the BSFS core curriculum and must be able to teach a course in Political and Social Thought.

Applicants must demonstrate strong experience and interest in working with students from a wide range of educational backgrounds, cultural contexts, and levels of English proficiency. Candidates would ideally have experience implementing accessible and equitable pedagogies for culturally diverse, multilingual students and/or teaching in multicultural/multilingual environments.
